vol de nuit

​Le vol de nuit est le prolongement logique de la licence de pilote privé, car il permet de rentrer de vol plus tard sans avoir la contrainte de la durée du jour.
Il fait aussi partie intégrante de la formation pilote professionnel sans toutefois être obligatoire. En effet, il est possible de d'obtenir la licence mais de jour seulement.
Exemple : un candidat pilote daltonien, peut accéder à la licence de pilote professionnel mais sera restreint au vol de jour seulement.

Exigences pour le vol de nuit :

• Avoir une licence de pilote privé (incluant 5 heures de vol aux instruments) et un certificat médical à jour
• 5 heures de vols aux instruments (incluant l'utilisation des aides radionav)
• 10 heures en vol de nuit dont 5 heures en solo incluant 10 posé-décollé et 5 heures en double commande incluant 2 heures de navigation en VFR de nuit
• Une lettre de recommandation de l'instructeur chargé de la formation

Night flight

The night rating is the logical extension of the private licence. It allows you to return from your flight later without the limitations to day-time hours.

It is also integral part of the professional pilot licence, even though not being mandatory. Indeed, it is possible to get a professional licence with the limitation to day-time flying.
Example: a candidate suffering from color blindness may obtain a professional licence but will be restrained to day-time flights only.

​Requirements for the night rating :

• Detain a valid private pilot licence (including 5 hours of instruments flight) and a valid medical certificate
• 5 hours of instrument flight time involving the use of radio navigation aids
• 10 hours night flight time: 5 hours solo including at least 10 touch-and-go and 5 hours dual including 2 hours of VFR night navigation
• A recommendation letter from the instructor in charge of the formation
